Aatto Santala came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Surnu's Ilppo Loikala. But to his dismay, Ilppo Loikala quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 32nd minute, Hávarður Mánason ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aatto Santala was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Aatto Santala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilppo Loikala in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Oliver Perämäki had to leave the field with a concussion. After 38 minutes, Ville Rahikainen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vastineskoski and the FC Surnu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vastineskoski's Ville Rahikainen got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute of the match FC Surnu got a corner. Vastineskoski's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eero Niemi ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aatto Santala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ilppo Loikala's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. After the first half FC Surnu were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anttoni Koivisto to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Anttoni Koivisto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vastineskoski's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anttoni Koivisto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tauno Laulaja hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ahmet Seyfi Akdal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ville Rahikainen in the 59th minute of the match. When Ilppo Loikala came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the FC Surnu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ilppo Loikala couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ilppo Loikala in the 65th minute of play forced Vastineskoski's goalkeeper Aatto Santala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veli-Matti Alin in the 67th minute of play forced FC Surnu's goalkeeper Ahmet Seyfi Akdal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Seyfi Akdal came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Vastineskoski's Lauri Heliskoski. But to his dismay, Lauri Heliskoski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Aatto Santala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ilppo Loikala's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After 81 minutes of play, FC Surnu's Ilppo Loikala made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aatto Santala was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Vastineskoski getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ville Uusitalo hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ilppo Loikala kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aatto Santala. That made the score 2-6 in the 93 minute of play. The Vastineskoski supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Surnu's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Surnu.
