Akseli Sulku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kimi Antila in the 11th minute of play. After some careless play in the PR Merkkausvirhe defense, Pertti Eerola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Akseli Sulku. The PR Merkkausvirhe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Akseli Sulku should have stopped the shot. With his leg Akseli Sulku managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Papinsaari FC's Pertti Eerola fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, PR Merkkausvirhe's Tommi Palo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Jyri Etula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Launo Wallen having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Jalmari Mäkelä hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PR Merkkausvirhe's Jyri Etula got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Akseli Sulku made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pertti Eerola in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, PR Merkkausvirhe's goalkeeper Akseli Sulku had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pertti Eerola. 36 minutes into the match, Papinsaari FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rami Anttila came free, but Launo Wallen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 minutes of play, Papinsaari FC's Pertti Eerola made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Akseli Sulku was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jyri Etula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Launo Wallen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Papinsaari FC's Ahvo Salmela got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Rami Anttila in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
