Kimi Antila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Kimi Antila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Papinsaari FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kimi Antila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Usko Myllylä breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 9 played minutes Papinsaari FC got a freekick which was hit by Sulho Rautee. If Pertti Eerola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FCW's Usko Myllylä played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pertti Eerola in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, FCW was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arvo Pyörälä to maneuver through the defense. Juha Rosendahl's late challenge caught a FCW's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juha Rosendahl helped the player get up and apologised. Juha Rosendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Pertti Eerola sped through FCW's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Usko Myllylä. Usko Myllylä came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Papinsaari FC's Kimi Antila. But to his dismay, Kimi Antila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Pertti Eerola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FCW booed when Papinsaari FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juha Rosendahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Eerik Latvanen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Papinsaari FC's Launo Wallen didn't even have to move. In the 71st minute, Kimi Antila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FCW's zone, Pertti Eerola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Usko Myllylä came out of the goal and Pertti Eerola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Kimi Antila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Usko Myllylä saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind FCW's goalkeeper Usko Myllylä, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kimi Antila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Usko Myllylä read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kimi Antila during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the final whistle sounded Papinsaari FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FCW.
