Spectators: 4669 (Terracing: 3500, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kimi Antila started the match with the kick off. FC KANKKU's Maciej Dobilas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kimi Antila in the 3rd minute of play. Pertti Eerola scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maciej Dobilas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 7 played minutes Papinsaari FC got a freekick which was hit by Jalmari Mäkelä. Adriano Perna struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Launo Wallen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC KANKKU. Ubbo Fabanyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Launo Wallen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Papinsaari FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juha Rosendahl to maneuver through the defense. Maciej Dobilas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pertti Eerola in the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the game, Jalmari Mäkelä was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Papinsaari FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC KANKKU the free kick. In the 20th match minute, Papinsaari FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jalmari Mäkelä to maneuver through the defense. Launo Wallen was a little too slow when Adriano Perna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-1. Bogdan Marchefka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Adriano Perna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taco Vennegoor hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Maciej Dobilas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kimi Antila, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Pertti Eerola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ubbo Fabanyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Launo Wallen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juha Rosendahl took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maciej Dobilas. Maciej Dobilas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half Papinsaari FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adriano Perna was the one to do the kick off. Esa Siponen's late challenge caught a FC KANKKU's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esa Siponen helped the player get up and apologised. After 50 played minutes Papinsaari FC got a freekick which was hit by Esa Siponen. Paavali Heinola kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papinsaari FC's goalkeeper Launo Wallen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Toni Nielikäinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubbo Fabanyo in the 59th minute of play forced Papinsaari FC's goalkeeper Launo Wallen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papinsaari FC's goalkeeper Launo Wallen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adriano Perna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Ubbo Fabanyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC KANKKU's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ubbo Fabanyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bogdan Marchefka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Launo Wallen having to interfere. Bogdan Marchefka might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Launo Wallen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bogdan Marchefka ran back to his position shaking his head. Launo Wallen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubbo Fabanyo in the 80th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Papinsaari FC's zone, Bogdan Marchefka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Launo Wallen came out of the goal and Bogdan Marchefka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juha Rosendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. When Taco Vennegoor fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC KANKKU's protests and gave Taco Vennegoor a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Papinsaari FC booed when FC KANKKU was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Taco Vennegoor didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, FC KANKKU's Maciej Dobilas got control of the ball when Kimi Antila tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ubbo Fabanyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Launo Wallen having to interfere. Adriano Perna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Launo Wallen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Bogdan Marchefka got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adriano Perna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle went the supporters of Papinsaari FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC KANKKU side.
