Spectators: 6944 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 0) Taali FC's Vesa Teräs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tero Äijälä in the 3rd minute of play. After 7 minutes, Tero Äijälä made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Taali FC's Vesa Teräs tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th match minute, Härjänvatsa IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taisto Tukio to maneuver through the defense. When Härjänvatsa IFK's Tero Äijälä in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vesa Teräs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Taali FC defense, Veikko Hautaoja kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vesa Teräs. The Taali FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vesa Teräs should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Veli Leino during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 34 played minutes Taali FC got a freekick which was hit by Veli Leino. Vesa Teräs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tero Äijälä in the 36th minute of play. Vesa Teräs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tero Äijälä's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tero Äijälä in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vesa Teräs saved Taali FC from getting behind. In the 42nd minute, Tero Äijälä ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vesa Teräs was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Eero Kärki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Vesa Teräs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The wind increased when Tero Äijälä made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes, Taali FC's Pekko Alatalo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eemil Viisala came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taali FC reached it. After 57 played minutes Taali FC got a freekick which was hit by Vesa Uotila. Härjänvatsa IFK's Antero Nikko shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 58th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vesa Teräs but with some difficulty. Veikko Hautaoja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atso Tuomisaari hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Taali FC's goalkeeper Vesa Teräs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tero Äijälä. Mauri Siltanen charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mauri Siltanen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Mauri Siltanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Antero Nikko came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Härjänvatsa IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antero Nikko couldn't finish the play. Härjänvatsa IFK's Tero Äijälä was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 69th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Vesa Teräs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tero Äijälä in the 72nd minute. Tero Äijälä came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vesa Teräs could save by the left post. After 75 played minutes Taali FC got a freekick which was hit by Atso Tuomisaari. Tero Äijälä in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vesa Teräs, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Härjänvatsa IFK's Tero Äijälä was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Tero Äijälä notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Taali FC's Vesa Teräs. Vesa Teräs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Härjänvatsa IFK's Veikko Hautaoja got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vesa Teräs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veikko Hautaoja, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 92nd minute Eero Kärki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vesa Teräs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Härjänvatsa IFK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Taali FC throughout the match.
