After a defensive mix-up in Lähdekylä's zone, Erno Myllyniemi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petri Helenius came out of the goal and Erno Myllyniemi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sami Martikainen got free with Mika Poikolainen in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hannes Palolahti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kannonjärvi IFK's Mika Poikolainen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Kannonjärvi IFK from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Lähdekylä getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Hannes Palolahti hit a great ball. When Matias Karhunen fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kannonjärvi IFK's protests and gave Matias Karhunen a yellow card for diving instead. Matias Karhunen hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Mika Poikolainen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hannes Palolahti in the 39th minute of play. Arvi Tuuri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petri Helenius having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Lähdekylä's goal looked a bit too open when Erno Myllyniemi came free, but Petri Helenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arvi Tuuri to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Arvi Tuuri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petri Helenius was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Arvi Tuuri's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Petri Helenius skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lähdekylä's Petri Helenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erno Myllyniemi in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th match minute, Lähdekylä was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jouni Petsamo to maneuver through the defense. Arvi Tuuri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petri Helenius having to interfere. Joni Helavuori charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joni Helavuori the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kannonjärvi IFK's Joni Helavuori got a free kick in the 66th minute. Arvi Tuuri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petri Helenius having to interfere. Sami Martikainen struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Mika Poikolainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lähdekylä. In the 72nd minute of the match Sami Martikainen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mika Poikolainen skillfully saved the ball. Joonas Norrena struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Mika Poikolainen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lähdekylä. The audience was convinced that Erno Myllyniemi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petri Helenius was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Petri Helenius came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Kannonjärvi IFK's Erno Myllyniemi. But to his dismay, Erno Myllyniemi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 84th minute, Erno Myllyniemi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Petri Helenius. The goal made the score 0-6. After 87th play minutes Erno Myllyniemi shot 0-7, a short shot which went by Petri Helenius and just under the crossbar into goal. Erno Myllyniemi might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petri Helenius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erno Myllyniemi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th match minute, Kannonjärvi IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matias Karhunen to maneuver through the defense. Kannonjärvi IFK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
