If Ciriaco Ferrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Villmanstrand's Atro Kuusela got control of the ball when Ciriaco Ferrando tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Savon Palloseura's goalkeeper Lasse Saarelainen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Savon Palloseura left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Villmanstrand.
