Spectators: 8595 (Terracing: 6447, Seating: 1977, VIP seats: 171) Elmer Jaakkola started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Albert Siltanen hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Halisten Haukat's zone, Kaarle Väätäinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rainer Manninen came out of the goal and Kaarle Väätäinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toivo Karhu in the 6thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rainer Manninen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaarle Väätäinen in the 7th minute of play forced Halisten Haukat's goalkeeper Rainer Manninen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toivo Karhu in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rainer Manninen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Toivo Karhu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainer Manninen having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Halisten Haukat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paavali Ronkainen to maneuver through the defense. Kaarle Väätäinen's late challenge caught a Halisten Haukat's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kaarle Väätäinen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Halisten Haukat booed when Savon Palloseura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaarle Väätäinen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Halisten Haukat's goalkeeper Rainer Manninen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toivo Karhu. After 16 minutes of play Halisten Haukat's Paavali Ronkainen was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 17th minute, Paavali Ronkainen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th match minute, Savon Palloseura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaarle Väätäinen to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toivo Karhu in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rainer Manninen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rainer Manninen came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Savon Palloseura's Markus Pakaslahti. But to his dismay, Markus Pakaslahti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Toivo Karhu sped through Halisten Haukat's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rainer Manninen. Toivo Karhu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rainer Manninen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ciriaco Ferrando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 40 minute of play. Markus Pakaslahti kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaarle Väätäinen to make the kick off. Albert Siltanen hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Kaarle Väätäinen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rainer Manninen. Halisten Haukat's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaarle Väätäinen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Rainer Manninen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toivo Karhu in the 65th minute of the match. When Savon Palloseura's Toivo Karhu in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Halisten Haukat's goalie prevented a goal. In the 68th minute, Albert Siltanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Kaarle Väätäinen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savon Palloseura's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaarle Väätäinen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rainer Manninen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72nd minute Ciriaco Ferrando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rainer Manninen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaarle Väätäinen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rainer Manninen having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toivo Karhu in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rainer Manninen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Toivo Karhu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Savon Palloseura's supporters rose to their feet, but Toivo Karhu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rainer Manninen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Halisten Haukat's Rainer Manninen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toivo Karhu in the 93rd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Savon Palloseura had played much better football throughout.
