Paiusalmi IFK's Jimmie Damm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciriaco Ferrando in the 7th minute of play. Aku Heinikainen charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aku Heinikainen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paiusalmi IFK! Jimmie Damm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Grönvall in the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Vilppu Grönholm was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paiusalmi IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Savon Palloseura the free kick. After a rather tough play, Paiusalmi IFK's Vilppu Grönholm got a free kick in the 24th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Paiusalmi IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Markus Pakaslahti came free, but Jimmie Damm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Ferrando cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Jimmie Damm was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jimmie Damm was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jarkko Sammalkangas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Savon Palloseura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Pakaslahti to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute Valdemar Kallio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Damm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Kallio in the 64th minute of play forced Paiusalmi IFK's goalkeeper Jimmie Damm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmie Damm didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valdemar Kallio went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute, Savon Palloseura's Valdemar Kallio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Markus Pakaslahti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 minutes of play Paiusalmi IFK's Vilppu Grönholm was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Paiusalmi IFK getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Vilppu Grönholm hit a great ball. In the 80th minute Savon Palloseura were awarded a corner. Ciriaco Ferrando went to the cornerflag to take it. Ciriaco Ferrando made a great header on Savon Palloseura's corner, it was just that Paiusalmi IFK's Jimmie Damm managed to reach the ball for a save. Jimmie Damm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar Kallio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Paiusalmi IFK's Jarkko Sammalkangas got a free kick in the 85th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdemar Kallio in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmie Damm saved Paiusalmi IFK from getting behind. A well placed Valdemar Kallio short distance shot in the 89th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Jimmie Damm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valdemar Kallio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 95 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Savon Palloseura left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paiusalmi IFK.
