An unexpectedly hard shot by Sampo Luoma in the 3rd minute of play forced Strömsö IFK's goalkeeper Jari Salonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jari Salonen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Iisakki Nyrhinen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. With a little luck, Strömsö IFK's Jari Salonen got control of the ball when Tarmo Kalto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Strömsö IFK's Jari Salonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Strömsö IFK from getting a goal against them. In the 12th minute, Solvik's Sampo Luoma dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Strömsö IFK's Jari Salonen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sampo Luoma in the 21st minute of play. Jari Salonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iisakki Nyrhinen in the 23rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Solvik's Sampo Luoma slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jari Salonen. That made the score 4-0 after 24 minutes of play. In the 29th match minute, Strömsö IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niko Sillanpää to maneuver through the defense. Sulo Helminen kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Solvik's Ohto Lyytikäinen got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Strömsö IFK's Niko Sillanpää got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 39 minutes of play, Solvik's Tarmo Kalto made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jari Salonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Strömsö IFK's Jari Salonen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Strömsö IFK from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Sulo Helminen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Esko Lähteenmäki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Erno Harjula hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Ohto Lyytikäinen struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Jari Salonen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Solvik. Solvik made a substitution. Olli-Pekka Brinck replaced Sampo Luoma. After 63 played minutes Solvik got a freekick which was hit by Tuukka Kirjonen. After 66 minutes of play, Solvik's Ossi Nurmi made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jari Salonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jari Salonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ohto Lyytikäinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Jari Salonen came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Solvik's Ohto Lyytikäinen. But to his dismay, Ohto Lyytikäinen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Strömsö IFK's Uoti Tuokko was substituted for Veikko Kulonen. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Solvik's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jarkko Saastamoinen was slow to take the kick. During this time Strömsö IFK's players had a chance to rest. Niko Sillanpää was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Strömsö IFK's Niko Sillanpää got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Solvik's Tarmo Kalto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jari Salonen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jari Salonen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iisakki Nyrhinen went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Solvik had played much better football throughout.
