In the 18th minute, Rubin Swartz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Jari Salonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Sakari Vesanen got free with Jari Salonen in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A throw-in in the 65th minute of the game was made by Aatu Kujanpää with Nuutti Siponen as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 67th minute, Niko Sillanpää hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Arttu Hernesniemi came free, but Riku Jämsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Academy getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Sakari Vesanen hit a great ball. Rubin Swartz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Jari Salonen made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Sakari Vesanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Sakari Vesanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jari Salonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Academy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Strömsö IFK.
