The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 10 played minutes Otavan Otsot got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Aldea. Alvi Kokkila came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Academy's Rubin Swartz. But to his dismay, Rubin Swartz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 15 played minutes Academy got a freekick which was hit by Sylvesteri Lumijärvi. In the 16th match minute, Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerim Baysan to maneuver through the defense. Sampsa Lätti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Săvescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Sampsa Lätti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ensio Snellman in the 21st minute of play. Alvi Kokkila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubin Swartz, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Otavan Otsot getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Sauli Kivi hit a great ball. Alvi Kokkila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubin Swartz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st match minute, Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvesteri Lumijärvi to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubin Swartz got free with Alvi Kokkila in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th match minute, Otavan Otsot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Aldea to maneuver through the defense. After 40 played minutes Academy got a freekick which was hit by Kerim Baysan. 41 minutes into the match, Otavan Otsot's Emilian Săvescu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 44th minute, Kerim Baysan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emilian Săvescu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Sampsa Lätti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri Snellman in the 53rd minute of the match. Alvi Kokkila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubin Swartz, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Sylvesteri Lumijärvi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvi Kokkila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvi Kokkila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakari Vesanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute, Rubin Swartz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubin Swartz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvi Kokkila breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the match, Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Sauli Kivi came free, but Sampsa Lätti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvi Kokkila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sakari Vesanen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otavan Otsot's Alvi Kokkila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubin Swartz in the 74th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mustafa Arif Uçbeyi got free with Sampsa Lätti in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute Sakari Vesanen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvi Kokkila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Otavan Otsot's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elmo Timoska was slow to take the kick. During this time Academy's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Academy's corner Nuutti Siponen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alvi Kokkila quite easily take care of the ball. Alvi Kokkila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerim Baysan in the 89th minute of the match. Academy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
