Spectators: 9256 (Terracing: 6943, Seating: 2129, VIP seats: 184) Heikki Lumijärvi started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonni Pitkänen in the 3rd minute of play forced Academy's goalkeeper Sampsa Lätti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfred Caspersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sakari Vesanen in the 4th minute of play. Heinolahti FC's Rauli Paavola got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sampsa Lätti was a little too slow when Rauli Paavola got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. Ari Litja kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes, Academy's Leevi Kokko shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfred Caspersson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Academy reached it. 18 minutes into the match, Heinolahti FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rubin Swartz came free, but Alfred Caspersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Rauli Paavola could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Sampsa Lätti however easily saved by the left post. Sampsa Lätti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rauli Paavola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rauli Paavola succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 26th playminute. Sampsa Lätti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heikki Lumijärvi in the 29th minute of play. Sampsa Lätti made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rauli Paavola in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute Juha Ripatti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sampsa Lätti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sampsa Lätti was a little too slow when Juha Ripatti got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubin Swartz to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rauli Paavola in the 53rd minute of play forced Academy's goalkeeper Sampsa Lätti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juha Ripatti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubin Swartz in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfred Caspersson saved Heinolahti FC from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Rauli Paavola came free, but Sampsa Lätti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Academy were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Heinolahti FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kerim Baysan took the corner. After 66 minutes of play, Heinolahti FC's Rauli Paavola made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sampsa Lätti was left in no man's land by his defense there! Academy's Sampsa Lätti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rauli Paavola in the 73rd minute of play. Sampsa Lätti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heikki Lumijärvi's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Sampsa Lätti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rauli Paavola in the 77th minute of play. Sampsa Lätti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rauli Paavola in the 79th minute of play. After 80 minutes of play, Heinolahti FC's Rauli Paavola made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sampsa Lätti was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute, Kerkko Räikkönen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sampsa Lätti was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. 86 minutes into the match, Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Juha Ripatti came free, but Sampsa Lätti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rauli Paavola in the 87th minute of play forced Academy's goalkeeper Sampsa Lätti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 87 minutes, Sakari Vesanen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academy and the Heinolahti FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Heikki Lumijärvi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Leevi Kokko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 95th minute of the match Sakari Vesanen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sakari Vesanen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sakari Vesanen hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 97th match minute, Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petri Riksman to maneuver through the defense. Heikki Lumijärvi didn't quite understand what happened when in the 99 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Heinolahti FC had played much better football throughout.
