The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Strömsö IFK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Otavan Otsot:s goal. Ensio Snellman's late challenge caught a Strömsö IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ensio Snellman helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Otavan Otsot's Ensio Snellman got a free kick in the 19th minute. Alvi Kokkila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ukko Ruohonen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jari Salonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri Snellman in the 26th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute Ukko Ruohonen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvi Kokkila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Henri Snellman fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Otavan Otsot's protests and gave Henri Snellman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd match minute, Otavan Otsot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henri Snellman to maneuver through the defense. If Veikko Kulonen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henri Snellman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ukko Ruohonen to make the kick off. Jari Salonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sauli Kivi in the 55th minute of play. Jari Salonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ensio Snellman, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Sauli Kivi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jari Salonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Misbach Pattinasarani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Jari Salonen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ukko Ruohonen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 73 minutes of play, Otavan Otsot's Henri Snellman made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jari Salonen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jari Salonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henri Snellman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alvi Kokkila made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Zé Augusto Pires sent off a good shot on target. Jari Salonen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ensio Snellman in the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Otavan Otsot's Sauli Kivi got a free kick in the 89th minute.
