A collision led to Huuhmarisvaara FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Tuomas Koponen hit a great ball. After 11 minutes of play, Mannerheim's Marko Takala made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonni Nitti was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerkko Kallioniemi in the 14th minute of play forced Mannerheim's goalkeeper Gigi Mantu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes Mannerheim's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Vapaniemi who took care of the corner kick. Huuhmarisvaara FC's Saku Paaso was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gigi Mantu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 17 played minutes Huuhmarisvaara FC got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Niskala. Tuomas Koponen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gigi Mantu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kerkko Kallioniemi struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gigi Mantu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huuhmarisvaara FC. After 28 played minutes Huuhmarisvaara FC got a freekick which was hit by Aatu Huttunen. After some careless play in the Mannerheim defense, Saku Paaso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gigi Mantu. The Mannerheim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gigi Mantu should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Mannerheim booed when Huuhmarisvaara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vili Piekkanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute Saku Paaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Mantu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kerkko Kallioniemi got free with Gigi Mantu in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Kerkko Kallioniemi made the kick off in the second half. Saku Paaso struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Gigi Mantu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huuhmarisvaara FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kerkko Kallioniemi in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gigi Mantu saved Mannerheim from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Mannerheim's zone, Saku Paaso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Mantu came out of the goal and Saku Paaso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Mannerheim booed when Huuhmarisvaara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vili Piekkanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kerkko Kallioniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Saku Paaso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigi Mantu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Saku Paaso struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Gigi Mantu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huuhmarisvaara FC. In the 74th minute Marko Takala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonni Nitti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Huuhmarisvaara FC's Jonni Nitti proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Huuhmarisvaara FC from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes into the match, Huuhmarisvaara FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tito Circelli came free, but Jonni Nitti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Mannerheim's goal looked a bit too open when Kerkko Kallioniemi came free, but Gigi Mantu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saku Paaso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Olli-Pekka Paajanen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute Kerkko Kallioniemi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigi Mantu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonni Nitti was a little too slow when Tito Circelli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
