An unexpectedly hard shot by Huang Guo Feng in the 15th minute of play forced Karhulan Veikot's goalkeeper Cássio Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Camillo Della Rocca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Jones's Isak Stenquist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Jones from getting a goal against them. Isak Stenquist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janne Töpperwien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes, Tatu Vainionpää mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Jones and the Karhulan Veikot players grew even worse after the yellow card. Janne Töpperwien might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isak Stenquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Janne Töpperwien ran back to his position shaking his head. Janne Töpperwien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Janne Töpperwien in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isak Stenquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute Karhulan Veikot were awarded a corner. István Vida went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Karhulan Veikot's István Vida to fire away a dangerous shot which Isak Stenquist despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Janne Töpperwien reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isak Stenquist. The goal made the score 1-1. Stamatis Kritikos hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Karhulan Veikot's goal looked a bit too open when Huang Guo Feng came free, but Cássio Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Janne Töpperwien to strike the kick off in the second half. Cássio Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Huang Guo Feng in the 61st minute of the match. FC Jones's Isak Stenquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Janne Töpperwien in the 62nd minute of play.
