The audience thought a goal was coming when Fathy Amgad got free with Fareed Bahaa in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramy Serag during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sumukhrat's Ramy Serag got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamouna Mohanad in the 35th minute of play forced Shutab's goalkeeper Fathy Ramadan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Taimour Abdel Masoud in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fathy Ramadan saved Shutab from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, Taimour Abdel Masoud cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Fathy Ramadan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sumukhrat's Kamouna Mohanad got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fathy Ramadan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kamouna Mohanad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lateef Fahed to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Sumukhrat defense, Lateef Fahed kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fareed Bahaa. The Sumukhrat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fareed Bahaa should have stopped the shot. If Lateef Fahed had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sumukhrat's Fareed Bahaa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lateef Fahed in the 63rd minute of play. Kamouna Mohanad hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Fareed Bahaa came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Shutab's Lateef Fahed. But to his dismay, Lateef Fahed quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 73rd minute, Lateef Fahed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taimour Abdel Masoud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fathy Ramadan having to interfere. If Kamouna Mohanad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Shutab's Batran El-Khateeb got a free kick in the 77th minute. Shutab's Fathy Ramadan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Shutab from getting a goal against them. Kamouna Mohanad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Fathy Ramadan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Shutab got a freekick which was hit by Batran El-Khateeb. When Sumukhrat's Kamouna Mohanad in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shutab's goalie prevented a goal. Batran El-Khateeb kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. When Taimour Abdel Masoud came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Sumukhrat fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taimour Abdel Masoud couldn't finish the play. Kamouna Mohanad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fathy Ramadan having to interfere. Lateef Fahed got his second yellow card in the match during the 93rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Lateef Fahed hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Fathy Ramadan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Adham Nagy. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Shutab fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sumukhrat had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
