Spectators: 6953 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1953, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Emam El-Saeed made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gebeil's goalkeeper Fares Baher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, Gebeil's goal looked a bit too open when Hanafy Mohab came free, but Fares Baher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hakeem Medhat in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fares Baher saved Gebeil from getting behind. Hakeem Medhat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Fares Baher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gebeil's Fares Baher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hanafy Mohab in the 20th minute of play. Fares Baher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakeem Medhat in the 23rd minute of the match. If Hakeem Medhat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Emam El-Saeed came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Gebeil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emam El-Saeed couldn't finish the play. After 31 played minutes gen got a freekick which was hit by Taher Nedal. In the 35th minute, Abaza Maged got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, gen's Taher Nedal got a free kick in the 37th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Emam El-Saeed notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of gen's Hany Mowafak. Hany Mowafak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hanafy Mohab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Fares Baher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hanafy Mohab to strike the kick off in the second half. Hanafy Mohab fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fares Baher having to interfere. In the 58th match minute, Gebeil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abaza Maged to maneuver through the defense. If Abaza Maged had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fares Baher was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hanafy Mohab showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 64 minute of play. After 70 minutes, Hakeem Medhat made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Gebeil's Fares Baher tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hakeem Medhat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hanafy Mohab in the 74th minute of play forced Gebeil's goalkeeper Fares Baher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gebeil's Abaza Maged got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute Hanafy Mohab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fares Baher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Gebeil's Fares Baher got control of the ball when Hakeem Medhat tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gebeil's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Hanafy Mohab scored to the left of an out of position Fares Baher, making the score, 2-3. Fares Baher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hanafy Mohab, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The gen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing gen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
