The supporters of gen booed when Dikiran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shehab Sameh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mortada Ehab's late challenge caught a Dikiran's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mortada Ehab helped the player get up and apologised. After a defensive mix-up in Dikiran's zone, Hakeem Medhat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lateef Shaker came out of the goal and Hakeem Medhat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the game, gen's Hanafy Mohab nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lateef Shaker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dikiran's Lateef Shaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hanafy Mohab in the 84th minute of play. After 88 minutes, Adel Tamer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dikiran and the gen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hakeem Medhat in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lateef Shaker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. gen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
