When Nagy Zidan came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Dayrut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nagy Zidan couldn't finish the play. Nagy Zidan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Fareed Ahmed made a huge save. In the 14th match minute, Hurghada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fathy Kordy to maneuver through the defense. Dayrut's Nagy Zidan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 16th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The Dayrut fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Dayrut's Nagy Zidan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee felt a red card was in order, 28 minutes into the game, when Kordy Hamdy put in a rough tackle. 27 minutes into the game, one of Hurghada:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 30 minutes, Dayrut's Hosny Abu Mosallam got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fareed Ahmed. 32 minutes into the game, Kamal Sabry was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hurghada's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dayrut the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Hurghada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kamal Sabry to maneuver through the defense. Nagy Zidan was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fareed Ahmed showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nagy Zidan, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Fathy Kordy made the kick off in the second half. Nagy Zidan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fareed Ahmed read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute Shawky Abdou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fareed Ahmed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rateb Yousif hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Nagy Zidan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fareed Ahmed was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Hurghada's Fareed Ahmed played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nagy Zidan in the 65th minute of play. Nagy Zidan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Nagy Zidan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fareed Ahmed was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, Kamal Sabry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hurghada's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
