Armin Ratassepp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erni Harrak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lembit Arus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alan Härm's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Erni Harrak's late challenge caught a FC Bayern München's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erni Harrak helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, AS Roma's Erni Harrak got a free kick in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alan Härm in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lembit Arus saved AS Roma from getting behind. Alan Härm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Lembit Arus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lembit Arus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Vananurm, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Alan Härm came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the FC Bayern München fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alan Härm couldn't finish the play. AS Roma's Lembit Arus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Vananurm in the 27th minute of play. Alan Härm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lembit Arus having to interfere. Lembit Arus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alan Härm went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sepo Linnus didn't quite understand what happened when in the 38 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. FC Bayern München's Hugo Vananurm got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 42nd match minute, AS Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erni Harrak to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Alan Härm managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Bayern München's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Härm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lembit Arus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erni Harrak to strike the kick off in the second half. Hugo Vananurm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Lembit Arus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Hugo Vananurm notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of AS Roma's Lembit Arus. Lembit Arus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Alan Härm took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Lembit Arus to make any attempt to save it. If Hugo Vananurm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Vananurm took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lembit Arus. Lembit Arus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Vananurm got free with Lembit Arus in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alan Härm received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lembit Arus came out and tried to block the shot, but Alan Härm slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 75th minute. 0-7 became the score in the 78th minute when Alan Härm elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Hugo Vananurm notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of AS Roma's Lembit Arus. Lembit Arus was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 88 minutes into the match, AS Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Härm came free, but Lembit Arus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sepo Linnus in the 90th minute of play forced FC Bayern München's goalkeeper Armin Ratassepp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd play minute Meelis Karju came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lembit Arus. 0-9. FC Bayern München's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
