Bert Luiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robi Kõiv having to interfere. If Eimar Vähe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bert Luiga came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the FC Metz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bert Luiga couldn't finish the play. After having played for 43 minutes, Bert Luiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Metz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bert Luiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bert Luiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robi Kõiv having to make a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Kardo Lemsalu hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Mekhide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bert Luiga came free, but Robi Kõiv reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bert Luiga in the 60th minute of play forced Mekhide FC's goalkeeper Robi Kõiv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robi Kõiv was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eimar Vähe showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 66 minute of play. FC Metz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, FC Metz's Eimar Vähe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Robi Kõiv narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Robi Kõiv didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Metz. Bert Luiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bert Luiga struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Robi Kõiv didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Metz. Bert Luiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC Metz's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
