When Sulev Lints came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Liikva fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sulev Lints couldn't finish the play. Hugo Kaasma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 8 minutes into the match, Liikva's goal looked a bit too open when Kaljo Leier came free, but Volli Keskrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Jüri Heinloo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Pavel Karp to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Kundahafen's zone, Sepo Oks stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavel Karp came out of the goal and Sepo Oks tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Jüri Heinloo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a defensive mix-up in Liikva's zone, Kaljo Leier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Volli Keskrand came out of the goal and Kaljo Leier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th play minute Jüri Heinloo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pavel Karp. 2-0. Jüri Heinloo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Pavel Karp made a huge save. Liikva's Eero Klaabu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kunnar Aalja in the 42 minute of the game. With a little luck, Kundahafen's Pavel Karp got control of the ball when Jüri Heinloo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Volli Keskrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaljo Leier in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sepo Oks to strike the kick off in the second half. Volli Paabo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Stasio Zajonc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
