Lauli's Marek Kruusimaa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Lauli from getting a goal against them. Marek Kruusimaa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vambola Kirsimäe, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lauli's zone, Lembit Ojavee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marek Kruusimaa came out of the goal and Lembit Ojavee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marek Kruusimaa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vambola Kirsimäe in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Vambola Kirsimäe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marek Kruusimaa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diggers Club Amaré's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
