The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erki Kurvits showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kunnar Arman in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Pudrukula's goal looked a bit too open when Kunnar Arman came free, but Erki Kurvits reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ervin Ülenõmm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdur Hobune, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Erki Kurvits took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kunnar Arman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Viitina booed when Pudrukula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hardi Näksi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Valdur Hobune came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Pudrukula fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdur Hobune couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Pudrukula's Valdur Hobune slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ervin Ülenõmm. That made the score 2-0 after 49 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Egon Pärnamets recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdur Hobune in the 58th minute of play forced Viitina's goalkeeper Ervin Ülenõmm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Viitina's Evert Remmel got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Valdur Hobune might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ervin Ülenõmm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdur Hobune ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Egon Pärnamets managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pudrukula's supporters rose to their feet, but Egon Pärnamets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ervin Ülenõmm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Viitina defense, Valdur Hobune kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ervin Ülenõmm. The Viitina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ervin Ülenõmm should have stopped the shot. Ervin Ülenõmm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hardi Näksi's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Egon Pärnamets struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Ervin Ülenõmm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pudrukula. Egon Pärnamets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ervin Ülenõmm having to interfere. Viitina's Ervin Ülenõmm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Pärnamets in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Viitina's zone, Egon Pärnamets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ervin Ülenõmm came out of the goal and Egon Pärnamets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ervin Ülenõmm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egon Pärnamets, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Egon Pärnamets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pudrukula fully deserved thier win.
