But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elmut Kaalep couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Riho Püha in the 9th minute of play forced Aydunymme's goalkeeper Raimo Saareleht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th match minute, Aydunymme was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiit Niklus to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Aydunymme's zone, Riho Püha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimo Saareleht came out of the goal and Riho Püha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Elmut Kaalep's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimo Saareleht was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Riho Püha managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC BIGwiG's Märt Loo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiit Niklus in the 56th minute of play. Elmut Kaalep received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Raimo Saareleht tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Riho Püha got free with Raimo Saareleht in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
