Gert Väljaste's late challenge caught a Ubinad fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Eelmets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reino Õlg having to interfere. The supporters of Maelie SK booed when Ubinad fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kiur Vähi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maelie SK's Mairo Üksti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Reinumägi in the 14th minute of play. If Hugo Reinumägi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Hugo Reinumägi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ubinad fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Reinumägi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mairo Üksti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kuuno Öösalu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Reinumägi in the 23rd minute of play forced Maelie SK's goalkeeper Mairo Üksti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute Hugo Reinumägi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mairo Üksti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Hugo Reinumägi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kiur Vähi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Maelie SK's goalkeeper Mairo Üksti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kiur Vähi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Mairo Üksti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Maelie SK's Reino Õlg threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leo Eelmets, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Ubinad fc's Reino Õlg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Ubinad fc from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Reinumägi in the 43rd minute of play forced Maelie SK's goalkeeper Mairo Üksti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maelie SK's goalkeeper Mairo Üksti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leo Eelmets might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reino Õlg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Eelmets ran back to his position shaking his head.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Reinumägi to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Reinumägi in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mairo Üksti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kiur Vähi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maelie SK's Mairo Üksti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Reinumägi in the 57th minute of play. Simo Normak hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Maelie SK's zone, Kiur Vähi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mairo Üksti came out of the goal and Kiur Vähi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leo Eelmets struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Reino Õlg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maelie SK. Leo Eelmets received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Reino Õlg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Evert Koba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jüri Maidsaar hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Leo Eelmets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reino Õlg having to interfere. Reino Õlg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Koba in the 87th minute of play. Leo Eelmets sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Maelie SK's Mairo Üksti got control of the ball when Kiur Vähi tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leo Eelmets in the 96th minute of play forced Ubinad fc's goalkeeper Reino Õlg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubinad fc's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
