If Toomas Teller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Priit Viksi took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reino Lüdimois. Reino Lüdimois dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Priit Viksi got free with Reino Lüdimois in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reino Lüdimois made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Priit Viksi sent off a good shot on target. After 20 minutes, Henrik Lõpp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LG suitsukarp and the Lua players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Henrik Lõpp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaido Hõlpus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Heiki Valmas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Priit Viksi got free with Reino Lüdimois in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toomas Teller in the 29th minute of play forced Lua's goalkeeper Reino Lüdimois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Toomas Teller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kaido Hõlpus came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Lua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaido Hõlpus couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, LG suitsukarp's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Virsa came free, but Heiki Valmas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaido Hõlpus struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Heiki Valmas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lua. Reino Lüdimois made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Priit Viksi sent off a good shot on target. Priit Viksi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 46th playminute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toomas Teller stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Janar Kivimäe might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heiki Valmas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Janar Kivimäe ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Toomas Teller sped through Lua's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reino Lüdimois. 70 minutes into the match, Lua's goal looked a bit too open when Priit Viksi came free, but Reino Lüdimois reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heiki Valmas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janar Kivimäe in the 71st minute of the match. Priit Viksi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Kaido Hõlpus got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Janar Kivimäe in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heiki Valmas saved LG suitsukarp from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Kaido Hõlpus could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Heiki Valmas however easily saved by the left post. Lua's Janar Kivimäe got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes Lua got a freekick which was hit by Ain Lüüs. In the 92ndth minute of the game Priit Viksi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lua's Reino Lüdimois was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute Janar Kivimäe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiki Valmas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janar Kivimäe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Heiki Valmas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. LG suitsukarp's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
