Kuido Nõmmik came free with the goalkeeper in the 6th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Imre Univer could save by the left post. Imre Univer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agur Annette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, Elari Alla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Agur Annette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ortuma's supporters rose to their feet, but Agur Annette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Imre Univer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Linte JK's Rein Lutsar got a free kick in the 14th minute. Agur Annette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Imre Univer having to interfere. Kuido Nõmmik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes Linte JK got a freekick which was hit by Rein Lutsar. In the 19th match minute, Linte JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elari Alla to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Volli Lüüs in the 25th minute of play forced Ortuma's goalkeeper Arnold Lumiste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Volli Lüüs left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Linte JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Volli Lüüs in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnold Lumiste prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Linte JK's Rein Lutsar got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Volli Lüüs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Arnold Lumiste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute Rein Lutsar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Lumiste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Volli Lüüs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Voldemar Varusk tried in the 52nd minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Arnold Lumiste a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-2. Alvin Õunpuu hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Volli Lüüs made a precise shot to the right of Arnold Lumiste. Ortuma's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 66th minute of the match, Volli Lüüs tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnold Lumiste saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Imre Univer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kuido Nõmmik, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th match minute, Linte JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rein Lutsar to maneuver through the defense. When Kuido Nõmmik came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ortuma fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kuido Nõmmik couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Arnold Lumiste successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Volli Lüüs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rein Lutsar charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rein Lutsar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 88 played minutes Linte JK got a freekick which was hit by Rein Lutsar. 90 minutes into the match, Linte JK's goal looked a bit too open when Kuido Nõmmik came free, but Imre Univer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Linte JK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
