Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Märten Jaani in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. New York Red Bulls's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Eero Rohtmäe scored to the left of an out of position Märt Veskimeister, making the score, 1-0. Märt Veskimeister made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Emil Roost sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to New York Red Bulls getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Osvald Järv hit a great ball. After 35 minutes, Olavi Leo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New York Red Bulls and the Laossina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, New York Red Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavi Leo to maneuver through the defense. Tom Nisu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Emil Roost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Märt Veskimeister, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Osvald Järv's late challenge caught a Laossina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvald Järv helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes New York Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Osvald Järv. Laossina's Keijo Kalvik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Märten Jaani in the 88th minute of play. Emil Roost scored 2-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Märt Veskimeister, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Märt Veskimeister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eero Rohtmäe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the New York Red Bulls players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Laossina.
