In the 8th minute, Roland Rahkema got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Peep Ranna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Märt Veskimeister was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Osvald Järv kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. When Peedu Veide fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. If Peep Ranna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tartz booed when New York Red Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavi Leo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Eduard Ainsoo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. New York Red Bulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tartz the free kick. 40 minutes into the game, one of New York Red Bulls:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Henrik Rahusoo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Märten Jaani in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peep Ranna to make the kick off. Eldur Onkel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrik Rahusoo having to interfere. Peedu Veide kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Eldur Onkel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tartz's Henrik Rahusoo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eldur Onkel in the 85th minute of play. If Märten Jaani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The attack was good, but when Märten Jaani in the 92nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The Tartz players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
