Silver Ilves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ain Tenno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ando Jaani made a huge save. A collision led to Naysso FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ain Tenno hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ain Salumäe during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Helios's Ain Salumäe got a free kick in the 31st minute. After having played for 35 minutes, Ain Tenno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naysso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ain Tenno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robert Linnus made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Kalju Kroonmäe. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Ain Salumäe managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Helios's supporters rose to their feet, but Ain Salumäe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silver Ilves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kalju Kroonmäe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ain Tenno in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Helios's goalkeeper Ando Jaani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ain Tenno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ando Jaani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ando Jaani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kalju Kroonmäe in the 61st minute of play. Ando Jaani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ain Tenno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naysso FC were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after FC Helios's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Härmo Ülipikk took the corner. Albert Tenno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ain Salumäe was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 75th minute. FC Helios's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Härmo Ülipikk kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 83rd match minute, FC Helios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ain Salumäe to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Villu Räni during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Naysso FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Villu Räni hit a great ball. If Ain Salumäe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, Naysso FC could leave the field as winners, despite FC Helios having more of the ball for most of the match.
