After having played for 12 minutes, Ahti Loome managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JK Maantee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahti Loome was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Mahe's Edmund Jusson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahti Loome in the 14th minute of play. After taking down the ball on JK Maantee's corner Oliver Sale fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edmund Jusson quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Üllar Niilus in the 21st minute of play forced FC Mahe's goalkeeper Edmund Jusson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Ahti Loome managed to get in a good position for a shot. JK Maantee's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahti Loome was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmund Jusson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 36 minutes into the game, one of JK Maantee:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 39th minute there was a penalty for FC Mahe. Tarvi Kapstas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Taniel Virmaline. 2-0. When Ahti Loome fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JK Maantee's protests and gave Ahti Loome a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Mahe booed when JK Maantee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahti Loome didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

JK Maantee's Ahti Loome got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taniel Virmaline stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tarvi Kapstas's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. When FC Mahe's Tarvi Kapstas in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye JK Maantee's goalie prevented a goal. In the 64th minute, Üllar Niilus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmund Jusson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arto Otsatalu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Edmund Jusson acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ahti Laaser. After 78 played minutes JK Maantee got a freekick which was hit by Kaur Jõe. JK Maantee's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
