Tavo Remme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Märt Leemet having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Hannes Viru lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Toivo Aus. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Eevald Roosimägi managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Rakvere Kotkad's supporters rose to their feet, but Eevald Roosimägi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toivo Aus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute, Aare Õigus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hannes Viru scored 2-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toivo Aus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Toivo Aus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eevald Roosimägi in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 38th minute Eevald Roosimägi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toivo Aus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Märt Leemet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taavi Kallas, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Vallo Kaldalu kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Kogri FS's Toivo Aus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Kogri FS from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eevald Roosimägi was the one to do the kick off. If Eevald Roosimägi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SK Rakvere Kotkad's Märt Leemet got control of the ball when Tavo Remme tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eevald Roosimägi in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toivo Aus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Kogri FS's zone, Hannes Viru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toivo Aus came out of the goal and Hannes Viru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eevald Roosimägi in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toivo Aus saved Kogri FS from getting behind. After having played for 75 minutes, Taavi Kallas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kogri FS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Taavi Kallas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute Eevald Roosimägi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toivo Aus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hannes Viru might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toivo Aus. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hannes Viru ran back to his position shaking his head. Johannes Paukson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, Kogri FS's goal looked a bit too open when Eevald Roosimägi came free, but Toivo Aus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hannes Viru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Toivo Aus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Taavi Kallas in the 93rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 96th minute Eevald Roosimägi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toivo Aus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kogri FS's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
