Jaagup Üksik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 8th minute Heino Üits shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Soin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Taimo Ernits in the 12th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Rainer Savisaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rainer Savisaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Taimo Ernits, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jaagup Üksik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. New York Red Bulls's Rainer Savisaar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taimo Ernits in the 17th minute of play. Rainer Savisaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taimo Ernits, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Taimo Ernits sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in New York Red Bulls's zone, Jaagup Üksik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rainer Savisaar came out of the goal and Jaagup Üksik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jaagup Üksik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rainer Savisaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Tartu Elephants booed when New York Red Bulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaido Pregel didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to New York Red Bulls getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Kalmer Karindi hit a great ball. If Taimo Ernits had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaagup Üksik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rainer Savisaar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Rainer Savisaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Seitse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taimo Ernits fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainer Savisaar having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Taimo Ernits notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of New York Red Bulls's Rainer Savisaar. Rainer Savisaar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Heino Üits to make the kick off. Taimo Ernits recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64th minute, Henry Seitse fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rainer Savisaar, passed just outside the right post. Jaagup Üksik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Rainer Savisaar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Taimo Ernits had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rainer Savisaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Seitse in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, New York Red Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Vain to maneuver through the defense. Jaagup Üksik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rainer Savisaar having to interfere. After 93 played minutes New York Red Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Härmo Kütt. FC Tartu Elephants were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
