JK Shelton's Mehis Kukkur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save JK Shelton from getting a goal against them. Andreas Nigula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehis Kukkur having to interfere. 12 minutes into the game, Division's Tõnis Kraut nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mehis Kukkur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to JK Shelton getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tanel Luuk hit a great ball. If Tõnis Kraut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Nigula in the 20th minute of play forced JK Shelton's goalkeeper Mehis Kukkur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Mihkel Reisalu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arto Täht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the JK Shelton defense, Andreas Nigula kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mehis Kukkur. The JK Shelton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mehis Kukkur should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Division's goal looked a bit too open when Arto Täht came free, but Hannes Koppelmaa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arto Täht's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hannes Koppelmaa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd match minute, Division was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kalju Noorsaar to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in JK Shelton fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Division. Kalju Noorsaar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mehis Kukkur. 3-0. Arto Täht received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hannes Koppelmaa came out and tried to block the shot, but Arto Täht slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 75th minute. Andreas Nigula sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. JK Shelton's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
