Mardi FC's Imre Püss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Martsepp in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of JK Nõlvaku booed when Mardi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvin Trepp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Martsepp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for JK Nõlvaku! Aare Luht went to the wrong direction when Olav Jõekallas was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The JK Nõlvaku fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Aare Luht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Lipmeister in the 30th minute of play. Imre Püss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Villu Otsatalu went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Robi Lõhmus during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mardi FC! The referee gave JK Nõlvaku a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sten Jahe, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mardi FC's Imre Püss. 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paul Lipmeister to make the kick off. Paul Lipmeister struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Aare Luht didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mardi FC. Imre Püss was out of position in the 58 minute of play, and Allan Martsepp capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Allan Martsepp really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind JK Nõlvaku's goalkeeper Aare Luht, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aare Luht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Lipmeister in the 63rd minute of play. Mardi FC's Imre Püss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Mardi FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Mardi FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Eikki Lillo hit a great ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Martsepp couldn't finish the play. JK Nõlvaku's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
