After 3 minutes, Villu Nikopensius made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kukruse's Tõnis Värk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute, Elmu Kukkur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tõnis Värk was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, FC Fortunas's Olavi Üleoja got a free kick in the 12th minute. Janar Nirk charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Tõnis Värk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Villu Nikopensius in the 19th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Tõnis Värk successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Kukruse's Kalmer Lehtmets got a free kick in the 25th minute. When FC Fortunas's Villu Nikopensius in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kukruse's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th minute, Olavi Üleoja made a precise shot to the right of Tõnis Värk. Kukruse's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Olavi Üleoja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tõnis Värk having to interfere. A collision led to Kukruse getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Einar Kaljus hit a great ball. Kukruse's Tõnis Värk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Kukruse from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, Kukruse's goalkeeper Tõnis Värk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elmu Kukkur. The crowd rose to their feet as Villu Nikopensius kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tõnis Värk. That made the score 4-0 in the 42 minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, FC Fortunas's Elmu Kukkur nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tõnis Värk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tõnn Sauna to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Kukruse's goal looked a bit too open when Olavi Üleoja came free, but Tõnis Värk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olavi Üleoja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tõnis Värk having to interfere. Tõnis Värk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nontas Kailas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Villu Nikopensius took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tõnis Värk. Tõnis Värk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Villu Nikopensius managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Fortunas's supporters rose to their feet, but Villu Nikopensius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tõnis Värk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the match, Kukruse's goal looked a bit too open when Villu Nikopensius came free, but Tõnis Värk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Olavi Üleoja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Kukruse's goal looked a bit too open when Elmu Kukkur came free, but Tõnis Värk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nontas Kailas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tõnis Värk having to interfere. After some careless play in the Kukruse defense, Olavi Üleoja kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tõnis Värk. The Kukruse fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tõnis Värk should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the match, FC Fortunas's goalkeeper Jim Fordham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jüri Emane. In the 96th minute Villu Nikopensius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tõnis Värk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kukruse's Tõnis Värk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavi Üleoja in the 97th minute of play.
