In the 6th minute, Heino Keskküla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hardo Kannisto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ilmar Laasik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB's zone, Hardo Kannisto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilmar Laasik came out of the goal and Hardo Kannisto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 13 minutes, Peeter Kuld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Gillingham and the EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Gillingham getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Peeter Kuld hit a great ball. Ilmar Laasik was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hardo Kannisto showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. If Hardo Kannisto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvald Õispuu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heino Keskküla in the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB booed when FC Gillingham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerd Kaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mait Ööbik's late challenge caught a FC Gillingham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mait Ööbik helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB's Mait Ööbik got a free kick in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Riivo Roosmaa in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvald Õispuu saved FC Gillingham from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hardo Kannisto to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Hardo Kannisto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilmar Laasik. EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hardo Kannisto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a rather tough play, EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB's Enno Aruväli got a free kick in the 58th minute. 64 minutes into the game, Helmut Post cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Ilmar Laasik was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute, Riivo Roosmaa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Riivo Roosmaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB's Riivo Roosmaa got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Peeter Kuld was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 83 minutes had been played. After 83 played minutes FC Gillingham got a freekick which was hit by Peeter Kuld. Sulev Kosk was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 84th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Helmut Post fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilmar Laasik having to interfere. Sulev Kosk hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the game, Imre Raal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Gillingham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB the free kick. The supporters of EESTI RAUDTEE CLUB booed when FC Gillingham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Imre Raal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hardo Kannisto charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hardo Kannisto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
