Vambola Koba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rain Joala in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Rain Joala left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Khapsa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Avo Raidmets fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Khapsa's protests and gave Avo Raidmets a yellow card for diving instead. Avo Raidmets kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Vambola Koba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rain Joala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute Alvin Umal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vambola Koba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vambola Koba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Vambola Koba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikk Virves in the 70th minute. Mikk Virves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 74 minutes into the match, Märjamaa FC's goalkeeper Vambola Koba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mikk Virves. The supporters of Märjamaa FC booed when Khapsa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rein Reiman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute of the match Maarek Verk shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kalju Ida showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 81 minutes of play, Märjamaa FC's Jaanus Alusalu made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
