With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sten Laenaja prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reino Koemets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Laenaja having to interfere. If Uno Veider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 minutes of play, APC's Reino Koemets made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marek Tajur in the 27th minute of play forced APC's goalkeeper Kalju Lilleorg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. APC's Kalju Lilleorg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marek Tajur in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Marek Tajur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaugemae's supporters rose to their feet, but Marek Tajur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kalju Lilleorg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 37 minutes, Marek Tajur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kaugemae's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Tajur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Uno Veider got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Reino Koemets ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sten Laenaja was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After having played for 54 minutes, Uno Veider managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. APC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uno Veider was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kaugemae's Sten Laenaja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reino Koemets in the 60th minute of play. Kiur Ruul kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 66thth minute. Though ot was a great shot APC's keeper Kalju Lilleorg was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Kalju Lilleorg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marek Tajur, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. If Kiur Ruul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kiur Ruuls short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Kalju Lilleorg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, APC's Laur Kirsimäe got a free kick in the 77th minute. Marek Tajur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Kalju Lilleorg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84thth minute of the game Marek Tajur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but APC's Kalju Lilleorg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of Kaugemae:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of APC:s goal. Marti Vismann walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Sten Laenaja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uno Veider, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 97th minute Marek Tajur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalju Lilleorg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
