Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kalju Loss started the match with the kick off. After having played for 7 minutes, Kalju Loss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Meremaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kalju Loss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Pääste Sats's Tarmo Vasser got a free kick in the 8th minute. Rein Uss showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haarald Tihumets, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th match minute, Pääste Sats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Madis Ansip to maneuver through the defense. Kalju Loss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Meremaya booed when Pääste Sats was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarmo Vasser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kalju Loss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Andris Veskis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Kalju Loss put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Andris Veskis. When FC Meremaya's Kalju Loss in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pääste Sats's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalju Loss in the 25th minute of play forced Pääste Sats's goalkeeper Andris Veskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Julius Kalde sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andris Veskis skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Pääste Sats getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Eerik Esko hit a great ball. Kalju Loss struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Andris Veskis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Meremaya. Andris Veskis came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Meremaya's Kalju Loss. But to his dismay, Kalju Loss quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Pääste Sats's Haarald Tihumets got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rein Uss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Madis Ansip in the 45th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Andris Veskis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Madis Ansip to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Pääste Sats's zone, Ennu Vaarandi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andris Veskis came out of the goal and Ennu Vaarandi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalju Loss in the 60th minute of play forced Pääste Sats's goalkeeper Andris Veskis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC Meremaya getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Aigar Teras hit a great ball. In the 65th minute Kalju Loss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andris Veskis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kalju Loss came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the FC Meremaya fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kalju Loss couldn't finish the play. In the 70th minute, Tarmo Vasser hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the game, Taavi Viilup was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pääste Sats's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Meremaya the free kick. In the 75th match minute, Pääste Sats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taavi Viilup to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Kalju Loss put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Andris Veskis. Pääste Sats's Andris Veskis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Rajavee in the 83rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kalju Loss in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andris Veskis saved Pääste Sats from getting behind. After some careless play in the Pääste Sats defense, Taavet Raidmets kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andris Veskis. The Pääste Sats fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andris Veskis should have stopped the shot. Andris Veskis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalju Loss in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute Kalju Loss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andris Veskis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kalju Loss struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Andris Veskis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Meremaya. There was no doubt that FC Meremaya were the better team. FC Meremaya's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
