Tõnu Ülavere started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes of play, FC SaateKotte's Tõnu Ülavere made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kerdo Haan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Tarmo Uusen made a huge save. Kerdo Haan took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tarmo Uusen. Tarmo Uusen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Ingmar Ülend managed to get in a good position for a shot. Janeda SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ingmar Ülend was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tarmo Uusen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC SaateKotte's Jaak Maasikas got a free kick in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ingmar Ülend in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tarmo Uusen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahto Vismann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Intel having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Tõnu Ülavere managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC SaateKotte's supporters rose to their feet, but Tõnu Ülavere was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Intel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dan Intel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnold Võsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Ingmar Ülend recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tarmo Uusen. Ingmar Ülend showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingmar Ülend in the 55th minute of play forced FC SaateKotte's goalkeeper Tarmo Uusen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ingmar Ülend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tõnu Ülavere might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Intel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tõnu Ülavere ran back to his position shaking his head. FC SaateKotte's Tõnu Ülavere got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Gabriel Raimets sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Janeda SK's Dan Intel didn't even have to move. FC SaateKotte were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Janeda SK to leave the ground with a draw.
