After a defensive mix-up in Lacumaz's zone, Helmut Üllas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simo Asi came out of the goal and Helmut Üllas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Lacumaz's Jan Oksa got a free kick in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Helmut Üllas in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simo Asi saved Lacumaz from getting behind. Ingmar Hool's late challenge caught a Lacumaz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingmar Hool helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lacumaz booed when SK Kaarikmae was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingmar Hool didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lacumaz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kalle Paha in the 38th minute. The corner led Lacumaz's Kalle Paha to fire away a dangerous shot which Eino Alekõrs despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 39th minute, Jan Oksa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Helmut Üllas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ats Rännu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simo Asi having to interfere. Simo Asi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ats Rännu in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, SK Kaarikmae's goal looked a bit too open when Toivo Uusmaa came free, but Eino Alekõrs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Lacumaz's Simo Asi got control of the ball when Ats Rännu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rando Marja hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. SK Kaarikmae's Eino Alekõrs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Oksa in the 86th minute of play. Simo Asi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helmut Üllas, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helmut Üllas in the 91st minute of play forced Lacumaz's goalkeeper Simo Asi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Helmut Üllas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Simo Asi. Helmut Üllas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
