Aare Paber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eino Alekõrs having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Legomehed's goalkeeper Kiur Vihmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Helmut Üllas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kiur Vihmann was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. After 81 played minutes, SK Kaarikmae's Väino Judin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kiur Vihmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. SK Kaarikmae's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legomehed the free kick.
