Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Selja's Karmo Ööpik started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simo Asi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karmo Ööpik in the 3rd minute of the match. Kalle Paha kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Toivo Uusmaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lembit Rohumaa having to interfere. If Benno Härm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th match minute, Lacumaz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toivo Uusmaa to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karmo Ööpik in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simo Asi saved Lacumaz from getting behind. Simo Asi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karmo Ööpik in the 20th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Selja's goal looked a bit too open when Benno Härm came free, but Lembit Rohumaa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th match minute, Selja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Rank to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Toivo Uusmaa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lacumaz's supporters rose to their feet, but Toivo Uusmaa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lembit Rohumaa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benno Härm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Selja's Alo Karikas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Simo Asi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lembit Rohumaa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benno Härm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benno Härm in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lembit Rohumaa saved Selja from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benno Härm was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benno Härm in the 54th minute of play forced Selja's goalkeeper Lembit Rohumaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lembit Rohumaa made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Toivo Uusmaa sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute, Toivo Uusmaa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Selja's zone, Benno Härm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lembit Rohumaa came out of the goal and Benno Härm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Jan Oksa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lembit Rohumaa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benno Härm in the 83rd minute of play. Benno Härm struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Lembit Rohumaa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lacumaz. Lacumaz's Jan Oksa suffered a concussion after 88 minutes and had to leave the field. Arvi Hõbe's late challenge caught a Lacumaz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arvi Hõbe helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the Lacumaz defense, Alo Karikas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simo Asi. The Lacumaz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simo Asi should have stopped the shot.
