The audience was convinced that Elmu Aluste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elmu Nummert was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Elmu Aluste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Elmu Nummert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erki Marja could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Elmu Nummert made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Viru Wõitlejad's Elmu Aluste slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elmu Nummert. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Kaido Kipper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Siseputsad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaido Kipper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute of the match Oliver Eiber sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elmu Nummert skillfully saved the ball. Viru Wõitlejad's Elmu Aluste got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egon Eesti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaido Kipper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kaido Kipper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Eesti having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, FC Siseputsad's Kaido Kipper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egon Eesti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elmu Aluste was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan Lille during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, Viru Wõitlejad's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tõnis Laving fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 72 minutes into the match, Viru Wõitlejad's goalkeeper Egon Eesti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tõnis Laving. Tõnis Laving's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Egon Eesti read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Viru Wõitlejad's goalkeeper Egon Eesti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tõnis Laving. After a defensive mix-up in FC Siseputsad's zone, Erki Marja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elmu Nummert came out of the goal and Erki Marja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Elmu Aluste managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viru Wõitlejad's supporters rose to their feet, but Elmu Aluste was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elmu Nummert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erki Marja struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Elmu Nummert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viru Wõitlejad. Erki Marja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmu Nummert having to interfere. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viru Wõitlejad's goalkeeper Egon Eesti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
