The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Rivendell fc's goal looked a bit too open when Kaljo Talvari came free, but Arvo Reisalu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaljo Talvari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvo Reisalu having to interfere. Paul Odar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valmar Vooro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Odar in the 24th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Rivendell fc got a freekick which was hit by Harald Roosipuu. Kaljo Talvari struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Arvo Reisalu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Zõlekesed. The supporters of Rivendell fc booed when Fc Zõlekesed was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Raudsaar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Fc Zõlekesed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Raudsaar to maneuver through the defense. Arvo Reisalu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaljo Talvari, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Kaljo Talvari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvo Reisalu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Fc Zõlekesed's Jan Uni got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Valmar Vooro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Sau in the 43rd minute of play. When Aapo Verk came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Rivendell fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aapo Verk couldn't finish the play. Fc Zõlekesed's Valmar Vooro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elari Varblane in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elari Varblane made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Fc Zõlekesed's Kaljo Talvari sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arvo Reisalu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 56th minute, Ervin Käps hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Madis Noor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Uni took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arvo Reisalu. Fc Zõlekesed's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaljo Talvari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arvo Reisalu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 74th minute Kaljo Talvari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvo Reisalu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaljo Talvari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Arvo Reisalu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaljo Talvari in the 79th minute of play forced Rivendell fc's goalkeeper Arvo Reisalu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaljo Talvari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arvo Reisalu having to interfere. Rivendell fc's Arvo Reisalu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Koikson in the 82nd minute of play. Harald Roosipuu charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harald Roosipuu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Harald Roosipuu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arvo Reisalu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaljo Talvari's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Fc Zõlekesed were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
