The Viru Wõitlejad fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Viru Wõitlejad's Helari Tomat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Leedi's Mehis Emane in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Viru Wõitlejad's goalie prevented a goal. Jan Lille charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Lille the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jan Lille kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Leedi's Mehis Emane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Egon Eesti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Leedi's Ennu Vilbaste got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehis Emane in the 21st minute of play forced Viru Wõitlejad's goalkeeper Egon Eesti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Viru Wõitlejad's Ken Luht got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Kaimo Nõgel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Egon Eesti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egon Eesti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehis Emane in the 26th minute of the match. If Kaimo Nõgel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erki Marja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Helari Tomat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to Viru Wõitlejad getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jan Lille hit a great ball. Madis Virumaa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helari Tomat in the 56th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Leedi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Viru Wõitlejad:s goal. Madis Virumaa went to the wrong direction when Kalju Kroon was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Madis Virumaa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erki Marja in the 61st minute of play. Erki Marja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erki Marja in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Madis Virumaa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kaimo Nõgel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egon Eesti having to interfere. Lauri Aher took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Egon Eesti. Viru Wõitlejad's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ander Arro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 89thth minute of the game Erki Marja who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Leedi's Madis Virumaa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erki Marja in the 92nd minute of play forced Leedi's goalkeeper Madis Virumaa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leedi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
