The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raimo Lehis showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The long shot by Tiit Arus in the 27th minute really tested Arvo Reisalu's skills. Rivendell fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Elari Varblane was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raimo Lehis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 played minutes Merja FC got a freekick which was hit by Lembit Raja. 43 minutes into the match, Merja FC's Lennart Teras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arvo Reisalu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Merja FC's Valdur Pärnaku in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Rivendell fc's protests and gave Harald Roosipuu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Rivendell fc getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Harald Roosipuu hit a great ball. Arvo Reisalu came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Merja FC's Lennart Teras. But to his dismay, Lennart Teras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 71st minute Elari Varblane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimo Lehis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rivendell fc's Arvo Reisalu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Teras in the 73rd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Rivendell fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arni Nilbe to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rivendell fc's zone, Valdur Pärnaku stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arvo Reisalu came out of the goal and Valdur Pärnaku tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th match minute, Merja FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tarmo Härg to maneuver through the defense. Paul Odar's late challenge caught a Merja FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
